After sharing my health journey that led me to the ketogenic diet, I shared the post to Facebook and heard from more than one person that they want to try changing the way they eat, but wanted to know, “What do I put in my coffee?!”
Like many people out there, my friends are creamer junkies. Let me tell you, I understand! I was a total creamer junkie for a long time. Like a “Do you want some coffee with your International Delight?” kind of junkie. And if you’d asked me back then if I ever thought I’d be drinking coffee with no sugar in it at all and enjoying it now I wouldn’t have believed you. (more…)
If you’ve been following me over on Instagram you might have noticed me talking about a ketogenic diet or using hashtags on my photos like #keto or #lchf. Maybe you’ve wondered what that’s all about. So I’ve made a post to explain the diet, why I’ve switched to it, and why my recipes on this site are going to look a little different going forward.
Oh no! You might be thinking. Not a diet plan! Not diet recipes! That’s not what I signed up for! Maybe not, but I hope you’ll keep reading because I’m about to lay down some truth bombs about my personal experience and the science behind why this diet might just change your life.
Have you ever looked at pictures of a party on Pinterest and thought, I could never do that? Well, I’m here to tell you that you can. But mostly I mean that you can pull it off without sacrificing your sanity, your work-life balance, or your savings.
Over the years, I’ve shared with you many of the parties I’ve done for my kids. I’ve thrown themed parties for each birthday my kids have had. And in that time, I’ve learned a few things about how to do it in a way that doesn’t make me want to swear off parties forever.
Let me share with you my 5 key tips.
Well, it’s official. I have a first grader.
For some reason this is hitting me harder than when he went off to kindergarten. He’s just getting so big! He was so excited this morning he could barely contain himself. He’s so excited that he gets to sit at the same table as his friend Samantha from his kindergarten class. I have a feeling his teacher may decide to separate them sooner than later. 😉
