A while back, I showed you this floral gift topper I made for my brother-in-law and his wife for their wedding gift.
After making that, I had an idea for another one, so when I went to my friend Emily’s wedding this past weekend I made this.
Last time I posted about these paper flowers, I linked to a post on The Pioneer Woman’s site where I got the instructions. This time, I thought I’d give you my own since it’s a bit more detailed.
These flowers are seriously easy to make. I mean it. You would not believe how easy these are to make unless you try it yourself.
You know you want to.
Over the weekend, (my crazy, crazy weekend) my friend Emily got married. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was a big fan of the food. It was catered by Chipotle.
Anyway, a wedding called for some crafts. Three of them, in fact.
The first one I’ll share is the card.
I decided to make a card depicting the traditional “Just Married” car. I didn’t stay at the reception long enough to know if they had a car like this or not. 🙂
Like most everything I make, it started with a sketch. (more…)
I just realized it’s Wednesday. Evening. The last three days have seemingly whizzed right past me. I think it’s because it’s taken me this long to recover from my weekend.
It started a bit on Friday. Fridays are usually grocery shopping days. And it seems that most any day I plan to go grocery shopping (Friday or otherwise) my Little Man decides not to nap well. For those of you parents out there, I’m sure you understand what it’s like to try to drag a crabby, sleepy child grocery shopping. It’s pretty much my least favorite thing ever. My brain power goes to trying to keep him from screaming, crying, wriggling out of the seat of the cart, and I forget what I’m shopping for. It also takes about 3 times as long this way. So after a terrible morning nap, I decided not to go shopping during my usual preferred time (between morning & afternoon naps) and hope for a better afternoon nap. Well, after a second terrible nap, I wasn’t excited about taking him to the store, but I was out of time and options. (more…)
It’s really warm right now. If you live in the central United States, you know what I’m talking about.
One of my Facebook friends posted this, an article that says that at one point yesterday, Moorhead, Minnesota was the warmest, most humid place on earth, with the heat index topping out at a whopping 134〫Here in the Twin Cities we only got to 119〫
