Christmas is almost here! Which means it’s time to reveal our 2017 Christmas cookie design! I was so excited when I found out the US Postal Service released The Snowy Day stamps this year, so when it was time to design our cookies, I couldn’t think of a better theme than the classic children’s book. So, without further ado, here is our take on The Snowy Day Christmas cookies. (more…)
It’s that time of year! The time of year for hot cocoa, curling up by the fire, and frantically trying to figure out what gifts your loved ones will like under the tree. Let me make things just a little easier on you by giving you a list of gifts anyone who enjoys cooking will love. And if you are the one who loves to cook, just surreptitiously leave this gift guide open on your computer while your loved ones are around, ok? 😉
Things on this list range from big-ticket items to stocking stuffers, and are all things I either use myself or are on my own Christmas list.
In keeping with my promise to bring you some super simple but delicious weeknight meals, I present you with one of the easiest dang recipes you’ll ever meet.
These flavors are so lovely together, and with only 4 ingredients, this recipe couldn’t be simpler. The best part is it comes together in about as long as it takes to boil a pot of water. (more…)
Merry Christmas! How cute are these cardinal Christmas cookies?
I don’t know about you, but I’m way behind on everything and COMPLETELY NOT READY for Christmas just yet. 🙂 So I thought I’d just give you a quick shout out, and share our Christmas cookies this year. We went with a cardinal theme and kept it simple with 3 shapes. And I only have the one picture because I can’t seem to find my head these days! Haha. I hope it gives you some inspiration anyway!
In spite of it all, I want to wish all my readers the happiest of holiday seasons!
Thank you for all your support! 🙂
Technical details: We used two consistencies of icing, 20-second icing and piping icing. We didn’t bother outlining the cookies, just used the 20-second icing to create the single color backgrounds.
