Decorated Cookies

Monster Cookies!

Well, friends, I have my computer back! I actually got it back on Friday (the next day!) but have been working on restoring all the things I lost. I had some trouble with getting my free photo editing software to work again, but it’s working now (as well as it ever did.)

Last week I told you I was making monster cookies. Well, I did. And they were adorable. I’m giving a little bit of a tutorial for those of you who’ve asked, but I apologize in advance that I had to take the pictures at night, so they’re not the best.

Anywho.

Wedding Shower Cookies

So, a couple nights before Little Man’s first birthday, we had a bridal shower at church. For my sister-in-law.

You know, the one who got married back in June?

Yeah, we’re not really on top of things.

Anyway. My sister and I were requested to make some decorated sugar cookies for it.

We’d never made wedding ones before, so this was our first try. We stuck with wedding cakes, and made just one design to keep things simple during a really busy week. (more…)

Baby Shower Cookies- Boy

It is insanely windy today.

That has nothing whatsoever to do with today’s post, but it’s worth noting.

I’m glad I didn’t wear a skirt today.

Todays post is about cookies! A few weeks ago, somewhere in the craziness before Little Man’s birthday, my sister and I made cookies for my friend Meredith’s sister-in-law’s baby shower.

These were for a baby boy. We went with a simpler palette than we’d done with other cookies, and not only did it make it a bit easier on us, I think it makes for a cleaner, more uniform look.

Overall, I really like the way they turned out. We’re getting better! I only got a chance to take one quick picture of these, so sorry– no detail shots.

I hope you get inspired to make your own decorated sugar cookies– they’re much easier than they look!
