It is insanely windy today.

That has nothing whatsoever to do with today’s post, but it’s worth noting.

I’m glad I didn’t wear a skirt today.

Todays post is about cookies! A few weeks ago, somewhere in the craziness before Little Man’s birthday, my sister and I made cookies for my friend Meredith’s sister-in-law’s baby shower.

These were for a baby boy. We went with a simpler palette than we’d done with other cookies, and not only did it make it a bit easier on us, I think it makes for a cleaner, more uniform look.

Overall, I really like the way they turned out. We’re getting better! I only got a chance to take one quick picture of these, so sorry– no detail shots.

I hope you get inspired to make your own decorated sugar cookies– they’re much easier than they look!
