I don’t know about you, but it feels like every time I turn around there’s another event that involves someone giving candy to my children. Anybody else feel that way? I feel like the constant influx of candy makes it difficult to reduce the overall intake of sugar around here. I also don’t want to be the bad guy who doesn’t let their kids have the candy given them. So what’s a mama to do? I’ve decided to make a concerted effort this Easter to fill their Easter baskets with awesome things that aren’t candy. This one, four-minute daily activity has saved my sanity. I don’t know about you, but I’m not exactly the most naturally tidy person, and now that I have tiny humans living with me, things easily spiral out of control. A mom friend of mine told me about something she does with her family, and it took me months before trying it out for myself. Tomorrow marks the first day of Advent, and with it all the traditions the come along with the celebration of Christmas. A few years ago, we bought an Advent calendar to use with LM, but I knew I didn’t want to put candy in it, I wanted something more meaningful. So we made ours an Advent activities calendar.
