In case you were not aware, April is Autism Awareness Month.
In light of that, I thought I’d share an Autism-related craft I made a while back.
As I’ve mentioned before, before the birth of my son, I worked with preschoolers with Autism for 4 years. I made this shirt to show support for every child I’ve known who is affected by this disorder.
My cousin Samantha is having a baby. She’s due in less than two weeks now! But we had a baby shower for her at church a couple weeks ago. And my sister and I made cookies.

Over the weekend, we had another large winter storm. I’m always so tired of winter by this time of year. Sigh.
In any case, snow storms make me want hot chocolate. And as far as hot chocolates go, this is one of my favorites. Mexican hot chocolate. It’s like regular hot chocolate, but with attitude. And spice. I was first introduced to it by my friend Elizabeth at the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market. And since there’s not much reason to go to the farmer’s market in the dead of winter, I had to make my own.
