Ok, Friends. This is my last post on handmade gifts, and I’m sharing two ideas perfect for kids.
The first are some flower clips that little girls will love. They’re very simple to make and don’t take long at all.

Handmade Gift– Fabric Flower Headband
Earlier this week, I shared with you an idea for a handmade beaded necklace. Today, I’m sharing with you the headband I made to go with it.
It’s not super matchy, but has similar colors, and can be easily worn with the necklace or separate. I for this project, I used a headband base I found at a craft store, taffeta and organza in a grey color, silver sequins, and purple bugle beads. The design is really simple, but I feel it gives a nice impact.
Mother’s Day Cards 2012
SPOILER ALERT! If you are my grandma, or my husband’s grandma, STOP READING THIS POST. These cards are for you. But I wanted to share some new ideas for Mother’s Day cards in time for other people to be inspired by them.
Anyway. I had intended to take many more in-process shots, but things went all pear-shaped in the middle of it, and I thought for a while that I was going to have to scrap them and start over. But I managed to recover and bring them back from the brink.
Given all the hecticness (pretty sure that’s not a real word) of my life lately, I wanted to make cards that were fairly simple. Nothing along the lines of the quilled cards I made last year. (more…)
Hanging Flower Pom-Poms
Ok, I’m going to preface this by saying that these pictures are all over the map. I first took pictures of my sister and I doing this project in the evening, with terrible light. Then, since we didn’t finish, my mom helped me during the day with good light. Then I forgot to take a picture of the finished product until it was hanging in the room we were using it in, which isn’t terribly pretty and has horrible light.
So. These are really pretty in person, but the pictures don’t always do them justice.
