Mother’s Day Cards 2012

SPOILER ALERT! If you are my grandma, or my husband’s grandma, STOP READING THIS POST. These cards are for you. But I wanted to share some new ideas for Mother’s Day cards in time for other people to be inspired by them.

Anyway. I had intended to take many more in-process shots, but things went all pear-shaped in the middle of it, and I thought for a while that I was going to have to scrap them and start over. But I managed to recover and bring them back from the brink.

Given all the hecticness (pretty sure that’s not a real word) of my life lately, I wanted to make cards that were fairly simple. Nothing along the lines of the quilled cards I made last year. (more…)

Mother’s Day Cards

For Mother’s Day this year, I decided to make quilled cards.

Quilling is relatively easy, once you have the right tools.

It is, however, time-consuming. Especially when you get a little over zealous.

I’ve come to the realization that I’m a crafting masochist.  I always choose insanely detailed and time-consuming projects.

But they’re pretty. 🙂
