Last week was a really busy week. Good, but busy. One of the things that went on last week was a baby shower. Yay, babies!
So, of course, I had to make something. The parents have decided to wait until the baby is born to find out its gender, so I had to keep the onesie neutral.
Their registry looked like they were going for a jungle theme for the nursery, so we put a gift together to match. One thing we got for them was a crib sheet that had a green elephant with a blue ear, and it was the perfect addition to the otherwise lion & giraffe-heavy gift.
It’s funny, because I was already planning to make an elephant shirt for the other big event last week, so I ended up making 2 elephants, but they’re very different. More on that one later.
So since NONE of you made ANY guesses on my last post, I’m just going to have to tell you. I mean, it’s really too bad, because I had a HUGE prize for the first person to guess right. I was going to send you a giant check like they give you when you win Publishers Clearing House. And a pony. And a fruit-of-the-month basket.
But you missed out. And I’m so upset that none of you guessed, I won’t ever have another giveaway as big as that one would have been. Just sayin’.
Ok, I’m over it. Now I’ll show you the super cute stuff my sister & I made for my cousin.
I made a new onesie for my little man. It was a monster, of course.
I started out the same way I start all my onesies: with a sketch. I usually do a web image search of the type of thing I want, then pick out different elements that I like and make them into a new, original design.
